2019 Ford Ranger Review
An old favorite of the Ford brand, the Ranger has been dormant for years, just waiting for the perfect time to make its comeback.
Now that Tunkhannock, Dallas, Harveys Lake, and Wilkes-Barre drivers are chomping at the bit for capable off-roaders, this well-loved pickup is making its return.
Are you ready for the 2019 Ford Ranger? Check out this review from the Tunkhannock Ford team to see what it has in store.
Power Perfect for Your Next Haul
When it comes time to hook up a trailer or take your boat out to the lake, a powerful engine is a necessity. You won’t be able to haul anything without a substantial amount of muscle on your side.
The 2019 Ford Ranger manages to condense a lot of engine power all in a compact and streamlined package. Its available 2.3L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder isn’t massive; however, thanks to twin-scroll turbocharging, it still serves up a punchy 270 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque.
Power like that makes for smooth and speedy acceleration. However, to really put it to the test, you’ll want to do a bit of towing. When fully equipped for the job, your new Ranger will be capable of hauling 7,500 pounds. Don’t be shy it what you hitch it to!
It’s Time to Heed Adventure’s Call
Where will the call of adventure take you? To the mountains, the shore, or somewhere even more rugged? When the FX4 Off-Road Package is equipped on your Ford Ranger, there’s no road you won’t be able to master.
This available package is loaded with features to enhance your handling and safety on even the roughest terrain. Right down to its all-terrain tires and heavy-duty skid plates, it was made to deflect craggy debris.
The Terrain Management System™ and Trail Control™ are both offered in this package. Together, these features calibrate throttle, individual wheel braking, and transmission gearing to improve your steering and wheel grip on slick or uneven roads.
With off-roading capabilities such as these, you can boldly go where you’ve never gone before.
Ford Ranger: Advanced Safety for a New Generation
Even if there’s no co-pilot in the seat beside you, you’ll still have a virtual second set of eyes watching the roads for you. The available Ford Co-Pilot 360™ system utilizes sensors and cameras to monitor terrain, following distances, and hazards.
Among the many features included in this suite is the Lane-Keeping System. Using this technology, the truck can read road markings and knows when you drift out of your lane. In these instances, it can apply mild corrective steering just to get you back in a safe zone!
Take the 2019 Ford Ranger for a Spin
Power, handling, safety—the 2019 Ranger really delivers it all. However, before you can decide if it’s the pickup truck for you, you’re going to need to get better acquainted.
