You’ll also have the option to equip your Explorer with either front-wheel drive or Intelligent 4-Wheel Drive (4WD). Intelligent 4WD includes the Terrain Management System™, which lets you choose among four drive modes based on the conditions you face:

• Snow, Gravel, Grass

When loading up the cargo area, the available hands-free foot-activated liftgate will open the hatch automatically with a simple wave of your foot under the rear bumper. This way you don’t have to put down what you’re holding to raise the liftgate.

An available twin-panel moonroof opens the interior space even more by letting in plenty of fresh air and sunlight.
