The Ford F-150 offers lots of options under the hood. There are six powertrains available. Each one delivers a capable performance that can carry lots of cargo and get you up and over whatever terrain stands in your way.

The lineup of engines features five traditional gas-powered options. The strongest one is a 3.5L High-Output EcoBoost® engine that can get up to 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. For an alternate option, there’s also a 3.0L Power Stroke® V6 Turbo Diesel engine. This delivers up to 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. 

The base trim is managed by a 6-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission, while the other trim levels all feature more gears with a 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission. 

Ford F-150 Towing

Whether you’re planning on towing a boat to a lake, a camper on your vacation, or a trailer to a job you’re working on, the Ford F-150 has you covered. It offers a best-in-class towing capacity of up to 13,200 pounds. 

It’s also designed to make every aspect of towing easier too. To line up with your trailer before you hit the road, there’s a Rear-View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist. During your drive, your cargo will stay safe and in line with your pickup truck, thanks to Trailer Sway Control. When you reach your destination and are ready to unload, you can back your cargo into place using the Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ feature. 

Ford F-150 Payload

The Ford F-150 can carry a best-in-class payload of up to 3,270 pounds. To keep your cargo secure and prevent it from sliding around, a set of removable and lockable tie-down cleats are available. 

The F-150 truck bed is available in three sizes. Each one is made out of a high-strength military-grade aluminum alloy. You can also add a bed liner that will stand up to scrapes and dents. For more convenient loading and unloading, there are lots of available features and accessories such as a remote tailgate release, LED cargo box lighting, and a stow-able bed extender. 

Ford F-150 Features

Inside the Ford F-150, you can find the best way to your destination with a user-friendly infotainment system. Ford SYNC® 3 features an 8-inch touchscreen that can display clear, colorful maps from your Navigation System. It’s also voice-activated, so you can enter a destination without taking your hands off the wheel.

The system is also compatible with Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay™, and Android Auto™. This gives you the ability to stream music, access apps, and make hands-free phone calls.
